- How is SSC Stenographer Grade C / D age calculated?
- Recent Stenographer Grade C/D notices use a 1 August as-on date (Steno-2025: 01-08-2025). Grade D is typically 18–27 years; Grade C is 18–30. You must have been born not later than as-on minus 18 years, and not earlier than as-on minus the post maximum plus one day. Verify the latest notice on ssc.gov.in.
- Does this tool decide if I can apply?
- No. It is an indicative band-and-category check. Skill-test, ESM, and central-employee rules are in the official notice. IAMTOPPER is not affiliated with SSC and does not guarantee selection.
- What as-on date should I use for Stenographer 2026?
- The default here is 2026-08-01 (1 August convention from the last published notice). If a newer notice uses a different date, change the as-on field and treat the notice as source of truth.
