Frequently asked questions

How is SSC CGL age calculated?
Recent CGL notices use an as-on date (CGL-2025: 01-08-2025). You must have been born not later than as-on minus minimum age, and not earlier than as-on minus maximum age plus one day. Verify the latest notice on ssc.gov.in.
Does this tool decide if I can apply?
No. It is an indicative band-and-category check. Post mapping, ESM, widow/divorced, and central-employee rules are in the official notice. IAMTOPPER is not affiliated with SSC and does not guarantee selection.
What as-on date should I use for CGL 2026?
The default here is 2026-08-01 (1 August convention). If the 2026 notice uses a different date, change the as-on field and treat the notice as source of truth.
