Frequently asked questions

How is SSC CHSL age calculated?
Recent CHSL notices use a 1 January as-on date (CHSL-2025: 01-01-2025). You must have been born not later than as-on minus 18 years, and not earlier than as-on minus 27 years plus one day. Verify the latest notice on ssc.gov.in.
Does this tool decide if I can apply?
No. It is an indicative 18–27 band-and-category check. ESM, widow/divorced, and central-employee rules are in the official notice. IAMTOPPER is not affiliated with SSC and does not guarantee selection.
What as-on date should I use for CHSL 2026?
The default here is 2026-01-01 (1 January convention). If the 2026 notice uses a different date, change the as-on field and treat the notice as source of truth.
