How to prepare for SSC CGL without coaching
A practical SSC CGL self-study guide: daily routine, free mock practice, and what to avoid. IAMTOPPER is not affiliated with SSC.
Start with a diagnostic, not random PDFs
Take a short 10-question diagnostic to find weak topics. Random question banks without feedback waste time. Finite packets with explanations beat infinite scroll.
Build a 45-minute daily habit
Consistency beats cramming. One focused session per day — 5 to 20 questions — is enough for working aspirants. Use mobile practice during commute.
Alternate mocks and topic drills
Mocks test stamina; drills fix specific skills. Never let mocks silently change difficulty mid-test — you need honest scores to track progress.
Use free tools before paying
Start with guest-path practice (no OTP wall). Only upgrade when you have exhausted free packets and know which topics need a tutor.
